If you had guessed Ushio was from one of my favorite musical artists, Kensuke Ushio, you'd be surprisingly incorrect. The name actually comes from an anime called "Clannad: After Story" where the protagonists daughter is named Ushio. A lot of spoilers if I delve in deeper, but what you need to know is that I was also developing my chuunibyou story in my head during this period. I thought Ushio had a nice, soothing ring to it, and thus I named the protagonist of the second part of that chuuni story, Ushio.
At this point I didn't have an alias to go by on the internet. I racked my brain trying to think of one, and ended up picking that protagonist's name because she really embodied what I wanted to be like (in my head of course).
Okay, but what's with the kanji character 青 that makes it really hard to search you up, you might ask? This character, despite what deep backstory it implies, is really just the character for my favorite color, blue. 青い (Hiragana: あおい romaji: aoi), the I-adjective for blue; azure. The color of the sea.
